Use "Sponsor A Rider" to enable your supporters
to contribute to Hope on Wheels on-line!
We know fundraising can be hard, but let the HOW100 website make it easy. Our top fundraisers in prior years have used the on-line
Sponsor A Rider function in the HOW100.org website as the number on means of easily collecting their contribution dollars.
Here's HOW it works:
- Within a few days of your registration, your name will be added to the "Sponsor A Rider" pull-down menu available on the site.
- Persons who want to contribute on your behalf can select your name from the automated list in the Sponsor A Rider form. Contributions may be securely processed using any major credit card.
- You will be automatically notified at the e-mail address provided upon registering when one of your supporters makes a contribution on your behalf.
- The sponsor will receive an e-mail confirmation/Thank you immediately and a written Thank You from Hope on Wheels will follow by mail.
- We keep a detailed log of contributions made on your behalf.
Here's an example below of a quick way to use the HOW100 website and your e-mail list to great ends. All you need to do is send a short note about your reasons for riding in Hope on Wheels to friends and family. Feel free to copy our note below if you need a little shortcut:
Dear (Friend's Name),
Please follow the link below to the website for Hope on Wheels. You can read all about this great event, find some great information on breast cancer awareness and possibly choose to make a contribution. If you like, you can then click on the "Sponsor A Rider" tab on the right of your screen, choose my name from the pull down menu, and make a secure credit card contribution to fund breast cancer research. All expenses of the Hope on Wheels event are 100% covered by corporate sponsors, so know that 100% of your tax deductible contribution goes to the cause, not to pay for some T-shirts!!
