This great character would have been so proud!
Terry Bulger is most at home wandering the Middle Tennessee backroads in search of the great characters that make up this state. Lots of people say he likes to find the unusual, but in some ways what he does find isn't always that strange. It's just real.
Small wonder that he wanted to do an interesting story on Hope on Wheels!

The group of women in that casual little ride through the park to promote Hope on Wheels is really quite impressive.
Too bad that we didn't get to tell some of those stories! We had three survivors in our group, Pam Hunt, Katharine Ray, and Liz Leedle. We had Mary Beth Chawan who has been a corporate sponsor of the HOW100 annually since our inception. We had Janine Swinford who has been an outstanding fundraiser for this year, and Vida Greer, our event director. One of our survivors, Katharine Ray, is also the Communications Director for the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation, and acts as our primary liaison. Talk about a group of women can make a difference! And they also set a pretty fierce pace on a bicycle...
